Denza Z9 GT Review: A Fast, Intelligent Electric Luxury Car

The new Denza Z9 GT is an exciting electric car designed to challenge established luxury brands. It pairs rapid acceleration with a comfortable cabin and smart technology that simplifies parking. If you want impressive performance and comfort without paying a premium for a traditional badge, read on.

Under the skin, the Denza Z9 GT EV uses a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system, with one motor on the front axle and two independent motors at the rear. Together, they produce 1,140 bhp (1,156 PS/850 kW) and 1,210 Nm of instant torque.

Despite its substantial 2.8-tonne kerb weight, this output propels the estate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h.

The two rear motors also provide real-time torque vectoring and enable agile crab-walk and compass-turn manoeuvres. The result is supercar-rivalling acceleration combined with quiet, luxurious space for five occupants and their luggage.

Denza describes the Z9 GT as a shooting brake—a sleek, elongated sports hatchback. Its front-end features sharp LED lights and active vents that smooth airflow around the wheels. Large 20-inch wheels reveal powerful brakes and reinforce its sporty stance.

The wide rear gives the car a planted appearance, complemented by distinctive hourglass-shaped taillights. Cameras mounted above the rear spoiler improve visibility, while button-operated doors add a futuristic touch.

First-Class Comfort Inside

Soft leather and real wood give the cabin a premium feel. The seats are supportive and comfortable enough for long family journeys. Pressing the brake pedal automatically closes any open doors.

The rear seats offer private-jet levels of comfort, with powered footrests, deep recline controls, and massage functions. A small, illuminated mirror provides added convenience before passengers step out.

The front cabin has clear digital displays for driving information and passenger entertainment. The passenger can watch videos or play games without distracting the driver. The centre console also includes a compact refrigerator that can make ice or keep drinks warm.

Big Power and Clever Driving Tricks

Press the accelerator and this large electric car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, pushing occupants firmly into their seats. Powerful ceramic brakes bring the heavy vehicle to a quick, controlled stop.

Adjustable air suspension keeps the car composed through corners and absorbs road imperfections effectively. Despite its weight, the Z9 GT feels stable and easy to steer.

Rear-wheel steering gives this large car a tight 4.6-metre turning circle, allowing it to manoeuvre more easily than a London black cab. It can also angle all four wheels in the same direction to move sideways into tight parking spaces.

Big Battery and Superfast Charging

A large 122 kWh battery provides an official range of 600 kilometres. Although the car’s weight makes it less efficient than some lighter rivals, its rapid charging helps reduce range concerns.

Compatible high-power chargers can replenish the battery in about ten minutes. These charging stations use integrated battery storage to deliver energy at very high speeds, making a brief refreshment stop enough for a substantial recharge.

The Denza F9 GT Final Verdict

The Denza Z9 GT combines exceptional speed, clever parking technology, and strong comfort for its price. Established German brands may still carry more prestige, but the Z9 GT shows how quickly the luxury-car market is changing.
